Business Overview
MENA Hydrocarbons Inc. (MENA) is engaged in oil and gas exploration, development and acquisition of properties focused in the Middle East, Northern Africa, and the Mediterranean. MENA owns and operates the development lease for the Lagia oil field. The Lagia Development Lease is located on the western flank of the Sinai Peninsula, adjacent to the Gulf of Suez. The Company completed the acquisition of the remaining 25% working interest in Lagia Development Concession (Lagia) on May 20, 2011. On May 20, 2011, the Company completed a reverse takeover and acquired SKANA Capital Corp. In October 2011, the Company suspended all exploration operations in Syria, including the drilling of the Itheria-1 well at a depth of 2,072 meters. On March 22, 2012, the Company closed he acquisition of Mideast Energy Corporation.
